Wednesday, November 15, 2006
Meeting convened at 4:00 p.m.

The minutes from the October 25, 2006 meeting was approved.
The Board met with taxpayers to discuss their application for Recreation land. This application was filed late and it was explained that due to a revaluation year they would be able to apply for an abatement for FY08 after the actual tax bills are sent for FY08 and submit a FY 2008 Chapter 61B application.
A resolution to the Appellate Tax Board appeal by a resident on Moulton Hill Road was reached the morning of the hearing. The resident withdrew his FY06 ATB appeal and as agreed this property would again be classified for FY07 under 61A
The board reviewed and approved two Chapterland Liens, a 2005 MV & Trailer Excise Commitment 1A in the amount of $1,339.07 and a 2006 MV & Trailer Excise Commitment 1A $2,358.18.
The board discussed the valuation method to be used for wireless Telephone and Telegraph companies in light of the ATB decision and the impending appeal. DOR will continue to value these companies but has required any wireless company to submit an annual Form of List to their local Board of Assessors. The Assessor have decided to continue to use the Commissioner’s valuation until further information is available or until a decision on the appeal is determined.
The Board signed the LA-4, LA-13, & LA-15 to be submitted to DOR.
All correspondence since the last meeting was reviewed.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 13th, 2006 at 3:45 p.m.
